A customer is a buyer record in the POS system. It holds a name, contact details, and optionally a loyalty identifier.
In this context, “customer” refers to a buyer in the consumer’s point-of-sale system, not the Chift Consumer (the integrator’s customer).

Purpose

Customers link purchases to a specific buyer for loyalty, reporting, or invoicing purposes.
