Definition

In the E-commerce API, a payment method is a way a customer can pay on the platform. Examples include credit card, bank transfer, or digital wallet.
“Payment method” also exists in the PMS API (a way a guest pays at a property) and the POS API (a way a customer pays at a point of sale).

Purpose

Payment methods classify how each order was paid. They are used for reconciliation and reporting.
